Menno Meijer (Project Manager) answered seven questions highlighting his work at AmeXio Group in The Netherlands.

What is your current role and what are your activities?

I work as a Project Manager, primarily leading client projects focused on upgrades and migrations. I manage project teams, maintain close contact with all stakeholders, develop project plans and schedules, guide deliverables and go‑lives, and provide progress reporting.

In addition to client work, I’m involved in several internal initiatives for AmeXio IP — such as myInsight, Webtop2Smartview, and AMI — where I take on roles like Product Owner, Scrum Master, or Project Manager depending on the phase and needs of the project.

I also administer our Atlassian tools and led the transition from on‑premises to cloud versions. Finally, I serve as Secretary of the Board for AmeXio Netherlands’ Staff Association.

How did you come across AmeXio as an employer?

I was approached by one of AmeXio’s in‑house recruiters.

How would you describe your work at AmeXio in three words?

Dynamic, Varied, Challenging

What has surprised you the most within AmeXio and why?

AmeXio Netherlands works with many large, well‑known organizations and delivers high‑quality, highly professional services. What surprised me is that despite this level of expertise and ambition, the internal vibe is very informal, approachable, and family‑like, with minimal hierarchy. It’s a rare combination that makes the work both motivating and enjoyable.

What tasks or activities do you get the most satisfaction from your work and why?

I get the most satisfaction from connecting people and helping team members excel in what they do. Seeing someone grow, feel supported, or deliver great work because of the environment and guidance I can help create. That’s what motivates me most!

What is the best tip you’ve ever gotten from a colleague?

Escalate early and often.

What anecdote or experience within AmeXio has stuck with you to date and why?

What has stayed with me most is how colleagues at AmeXio respond when things don’t go as planned or when an unexpected curveball hits a project. Instead of pointing fingers or focusing on what went wrong, people immediately come together with a positive, solution‑oriented mindset. That “let’s fix this together” attitude is deeply ingrained in the culture, and it creates an environment where you feel supported, trusted, and part of a team that truly has each other’s backs.
