At AmeXio Netherlands, we strongly believe in making a positive impact, not just through our professional activities but also by giving back to the communities we are a part of. That’s why we were proud to participate in NL Doet, the Netherlands' largest annual volunteer initiative, organized by the Oranjefonds. Last Friday, more than 20 of our colleagues joined forces to contribute, taking the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of others.
Volunteering at Vitalis Wissehaege in Eindhoven
For this year's NL Doet, we spent an afternoon at Vitalis Wissehaege in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, a center that cares for the elderly. Our team took part in a variety of activities, from enjoying a high tea with the residents to working in the garden and taking walks together. It was a great experience, not only connecting with the elderly but also learning how little time it takes to make a meaningful impact.
One of the highlights of the day was the incredible effort of a local resident, Harrie, who at 79 years old, eagerly joined the garden team. Despite his age, Harrie worked tirelessly alongside everyone, tending to the garden with enthusiasm and dedication.
At the end of the day, he couldn’t help but smile from ear to ear, proud of the result. As the AmeXio team wrapped up the work and began to head home, they made sure to stop by Harrie to give him a high-five, celebrating the teamwork and joy that came from making a difference.
The Power of Volunteering
Volunteering may seem like a small gesture, but as we have seen last Friday, even a few hours of your time can brighten someone's day and bring joy to those who need it most. The team at AmeXio was incredibly proud to participate in this initiative, which aligns with our core values of compassion and community involvement.
None of this would have been possible without the dedication of our amazing AmeXio Team and the kind people at Vitalis. A special thanks to Sophie Dekkers from Vitalis Group for making this event a reality and to AmeXio's Fabienne Moes, Jolanda van Heugten, and Manon Sinke for their hard work in organizing such a successful and fulfilling day. The teamwork and passion for giving back reflect our deep commitment.
As the cherry on top of an already wonderful day, we were thrilled to have Robert van Beckhoven generously sponsor some delightful bonbons. For those who might not know him, Robert van Beckhoven is a renowned pastry chef and chocolatier, celebrated for his expertise and passion for creating exquisite sweets. His thoughtful gesture added a special touch to the event. 🍫
