Patrick Hoeben (Online Marketeer) answered seven questions highlighting his work at AMEXIO in The Netherlands.

What is your current role and what are your activities?
I'm an Online Marketer at AMEXIO, so basically I run and optimize our digital marketing strategy across the group. That means managing our social media channels, email campaigns, SEO, organizing events, and making sure we're creating the right content (design & copy) for the right people. I also keep a close eye on performance metrics to spot what's working and what needs tweaking.
How did you come across AMEXIO as an employer?
spotted the role on LinkedIn and thought it looked like something worth exploring!
How would you describe your work at AMEXIO in three words?
Versatile, energetic, and challenging.
What has surprised you the most within AMEXIO and why?
I expected a company with 900 people spread across 9 countries to feel pretty rigid and bureaucratic. But it's the complete opposite. There's real space to make an impact and actually get things done. If you've got an idea to improve something, you can just run with it and people actually listen. That freedom has been a really pleasant surprise.
What tasks or activities do you get the most satisfaction from your work and why?
What I love most is blending creativity with data and strategy to build campaigns that actually work. I get to own the whole process, from concept to execution. So when a campaign you've planned launches and delivers real results? That's the best feeling, especially when you see people get genuinely excited about what you've created.
What is the best tip you’ve ever gotten from a colleague?
Every day is different, and a lot can shift in just a few hours. So when you feel overwhelmed, take a step back and map out what's actually on your plate. Just getting it all out and visible creates clarity. Sometimes you need to pause to move forward properly.
What anecdote or experience within AMEXIO has stuck with you to date and why?
I'm still pretty new here, but there's been so much fun stuff already beyond just the work itself. The thing that's stuck with me most is the trip to Paris for AMEXIO's 20-year celebration. I got to meet my colleagues in person, people I normally only see via Teams!
